Getting there…

August 30th, 2007

While awaiting the Dec. 10th arrival of the Red camera we intend to shoot with, we’re tying up loose ends with research - finding connections, developing stories, ironies, metaphors… and generating a narrative template which will be our blueprint for the film.

We’ll be visiting several cities during the first 3 months of 2008 including Las Vegas, Chicago, Washington D.C., New York, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Phoenix, St. Louis, Seaside FL, Atlanta, and New Orleans - to gather interviews and hear stories from experts and citizens about the communities and how they’ve changed - what people like and dislike about where they live.

I’d like to invite anyone who’s interested in this project and who may have any thoughts or stories to tell to contact us using the form on the right. We have a growing list of professionals and academics with whom we will be speaking about urban and suburban social dynamics and history - but it would be great to balance it all out with voices from “real people.”
